Résumé

Traditional Egyptian Petosiris Reden und Rufe Hymn to the Nile abstract markers Traditional Egyptian -Petosiris -Reden und Rufe -Hymn to the Nile -abstract markers
This study presents a new reading of inscription no. 49 from the Tomb of Petosiris at Tuna el-Gebel. After contextualizing each element of the text (apart from the titles and epithets of Petosiris) and linking them to potential repertoires identifiable within the interpretative framework of the currently available documentation—most notably the Hymn to the Nile—this flax harvesting Reden und Rufe text emerges as a patchwork of references to other literary genres and document types. This exploratory approach also provides a new contextualization for inscriptions nos. 47, 48, 51, and 52. [The author’s original manuscript submitted to Zeitschrift für Ägyptische Sprache und Altertumskunde. Accepted for publication after minor revisions (not addressed here)].
