Abstract
The accompaniment of the autonomy of people with cognitive degeneration involves the family, professional caregivers and nursing staff in a socio-political context of patient empowerment and home support. It is part of the ongoing transformation of the health sector. The production of information and its circulation between family caregivers and professional caregivers, interactions with cared of and the management of possible violence are therefore at the heart of the proper functioning of the triadic cared of / family and professional caregiver / nursing staff configurations. This research in information and communication sciences, based on semi-structured interviews with family caregivers, proposes a typology of communication situations around three main principles resulting from the analysis: monitor, stimulate, maintain a link. It can be a useful heuristic for professional carers to reduce the risk of violence and abuse of the cared-for and depression among family carers and to fight against the alienation of the cared-for and that of family carers.
