Abstract
This deliverable presents a number of experiments where non-volatile memory and 3D interconnect technologies are evaluated. The performance and energy consumption are mainly considered as metrics for the evaluation. The goal is to get insights on their impact within the design of typicalheterogeneous multicore architectures as expected in the compute node design studied within the CONTINUUM project. From the resulting observations, we discuss possible opportunities enabling us to better leverage the advantages of such technologies by using compilation techniques and runtime system management approaches.
