the invention relates to a crosslinked hyaluronic acid exhibiting a water-solubility and obtainable by a preparation method consisting in bringing into contact at least one type of hyaluronic acid or the salts threrof and at least ont type of cross-linking agent containing ar least one type of oligopeptide having at least two, preferably at least five lysine units, in an aqueous medium, wherein said contact operation is carried out in the presence of at least one type of hydrosulble coupling agent and at least one catalyst. an implant containing the inventive crosslinked hyaluronic acid and the use thereof for human medicine and veterinary science, in partcular for repair or aesthetic surgery is also disclosed.
