Résumé
Video showing the construction of the SET1 permanent GNSS station co-located with the SHOM tide gauge, located in the municipality of Sète in the Hérault department. Year of construction: 2024. Monumentation: Regina square with extension (monumentation from the Regina CNES - IGN project, partner organisations of Epos-france).The creation of a technical collection dedicated to the monumentation and installation of permanent GNSS stations and temporary campaigns of the French national academic network is in line with the technological and organisational developments that have marked geodesy over the last few decades. The aim of this collection is to capitalise on and archive the practices and expertise gained from the establishment, development and monitoring of GNSS networks in France. This technical collection meets this need for structuring and transmission : Archive installation techniques, the choice of monuments and network sites, disseminate the techniques used in the network, monitoring the evolution of operational aspects : power supply, communication, security, maintenance, co-location, monitoring and studying the ageing of network installations to define the reliability and longevity of stations, generating procedures for the installation and instrumentation of GNSS stations.By bringing together these elements, the collection aims to preserve a technical history of the network and support teams in their installation choices, while promoting more than twenty years of experience accumulated in the development of permanent GNSS networks in France. This initiative contributes to strengthening the quality, visibility and sustainability of GNSS stations, in the service of research, geodesy and the understanding of geodynamic processes in France within the framework of the Epos-France research infrastructure, which is part of the European EPOS space.
