Abstract
In order to clarify the status of the two taxa of the genus Perotis cited from mainland France, P. unicolor (Olivier, 1790) and P. planidorsis (Liskenne, 1994), an integrative study was carried out. Examination of habitus and male genitalia, and DNA barcoding of series of Perotis from France captured near Saint-Gilles in the department of Gard (type locality of P. planidorsis) and near Banyuls-sur-Mer in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales, allow us to confirm that all the specimens belong to a single species, namely Perotis unicolor. The synonymy between Perotis planidorsis (Liskenne, 1994) and Perotis unicolor (Olivier, 1790) is confirmed.
