Abstract
A reasoned inventory is established concerning all the fossil Selachians taxa created (partly or entirely) in the whole Aquitaine Basin. The validity of species and genera is discussed and the denominations are actualized. 64 taxa of specific rank and 15 genera are listed in this way as a whole. Twenty-two species-and 5 genera-have been created in Cretaceous formations of the Northern Aquitaine. Thirty species-and 9 genera-have been described (very recently) from deep, bathyal-type deposits, of the Eocene of the Landes, Southern Aquitaine, showing there an original association, very diversified, long unknown, constituting a reference fauna on an European level. At last, a dozen species-and one genus-were formerly created in the Aquitaine Miocene.
