Résumé
This article is organized around three questions: (1) Who are the European commissioners? (2) What do the European commissioners represent? (3) What Europe do the commissioners represent? It is oriented toward a theoretical & methodological order reconciling a political sociology approach with analyses of public action. The trajectory analysis of the commissioners & their cabinets aims at the internal dynamics of the teams, which are the commissioners. The sociology & structure of each team permit clarification of the role of the politician within the public politics proposed to the Council. Analyzing the institutionalization & legitimacy of the Commission implies a certain division of opinion that continues in the structure of the study of European integration. 15 References. E. Sanchez
