Abstract

The first detailed study of the dynamic behavior of nanoporous oxide interfaces interacting with biologically relevant environments is presented using environmental ellipsometry porosimetry and XPS. Evolution of the pore structure, mechanical properties, and composition is shown using thin films as model systems. Behavior is highly dependent on composition, porosity, and calcination temperature.
