Abstract

copolymerized compounds of acrylates derivatives of alpha-chymotrypsin and polyoxyethyleneglycol (PEG) have been prepared and used as biocatalysts for peptide synthesis in organic solvent containing low quantity of water. In order to increase the velocity of the coupling reactions, without loss of enzyme activity, we have used the principle of sonication. Some results and future projects are presented.
