Abstract
We compare different forms of the Saint Venant's equations of compatibility and ofthe related Donati's theorem and we give an extension to Lp of Ting's version of this theorem. Using ageneral result on the completeness of the self-equilibrated Beltrami's functions we give a different proofof some results of P.G. Ciarlet and P. Ciarlet, Jr.
