Résumé
This article discusses self-care in the works of Michel Foucault, seeking to conduct reflection for Physical Education. We point out elements associated with self-care, such as the image of spinning, to discuss body care for health today, based on standardization and unconditional obedience to the dictates imposed in multiple ways. This research may expand the epistemological debate in Physical Education, since self-care reconnects knowledges and practices and can be recognized as a philosophical foundation.
