Abstract
Using the case of the Belgian journalist, socialist and feminist Alice Bron (1850-1904) as an example, this article shows how research on a digitised press corpus enables the reconstruction of a media career. The circulation of Alice Bron’s name is analysed through a combination of digital humanities tools and qualitative methods. The analysis reveals the ways in which this – today forgotten – journalist was portrayed in the French-speaking Belgian daily press at the time.
