Résumé
The object of this research is to make evident the fluctuations of overall self-esteem in relation to a sense of physical ability in the context of university evaluation. We have put forth the hypothesis that these aspects would fluctuate as a function of the degree of satisfaction demonstrated regarding exam results. 94 students responded to the survey of physical self in 6 areas, some minutes before and after a fitness exam of short duration. The results reveal that overall self esteem and a sense of physical ability fluctuate as a function of demonstrated satisfaction regarding exam results. Multiple regression analyses allowed identification of the influence of perceptions of physical ability in the level of overall self-esteem. This study confirms the barometric nature of overall self esteem and perceptions of ability. W.A. Butler
