Abstract
Three viral diseases transmitted by aphids can cause significant yield losses in beet, cereals and rapeseed production. The protection of these crops against yellows diseases has long targeted aphids using recently banned (neonicotinoid family) or authorized phytopharmaceutical products whose efficacy may be insufficient following the appearance of aphid populations resistant to certain insecticidal active substances.Academic researchers, technical institutes and economic organizations have collaborated in the framework of the ABCD_B research project with the objective of evaluating new solutions for the protection of these crops against viruses. The work was carried out on the three cultivated species, both under natural field conditions and under controlled conditions. The results have enabled us to highlight and quantify differences in varietal sensitivity within each of the cultivated species (wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet). An important evaluation of biocontrol products allowed to produce encouraging results for two active substances (azadirachtin, mineral oil) even if their efficiencies remain clearly inferior compared to the reference solutions.
