Abstract
As SARS-CoV-2 has spread across the globe, it has been difficult to ignore patterns suggesting that regions with poor air quality are witnessing disproportionate impacts in terms of the frequency and severity of COVID-19 infection. Consequently, researchers have rightly recognized the importance of considering the role of air pollution in the COVID-19 pandemic.
