Abstract
This article aims to comprehend the working of a prison wing reserved for juvenile offenders through the study of its courtyard. Its location, parallel to the adult prisoners’ courtyard, its configuration and its transformations, make of this courtyard a place at the parting of the opportunities. More specifically it reveals how “permeable” this particular wing is, as the minors are supposed not to be in touch with the detained adults.
