Résumé
Strains from 173 unrelated Listeria monocytogenes were isolated from humans, animals, the environment and food and analyzed for the presence of plasmids. The results of the study, which was the first time that plasmids of Listeria monocytogenes have been shown to be associated with cadmium resistance, are discussed.
