Résumé
We report the initial results of the physical property measurements of core samples from the 4 Holes drilled at Samail Ophiolite, Sultanate of Oman, during the Oman Drilling Project Phase I. Phase 1 cores are from the lower crust section (Holes GT1A & 2A), at the boundary between sheeted dike and gabbro (Hole GT3AB), and from the mantle section to the basal thrust through the metamorphic sole. Physical Properties (Vp, density & porosity, thermal conductivity, etc) on core samples were measured using analytical facilities on D/V Chikyu.
