Abstract
<div xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><p>Three Forms of the Post-Fordist City : Nîmes in Competition with Montpellier Signalling the end of modern utopias, the notion of urban renewal revives the reformist conception of repairing a fragmented Polis. As a place of consumerism and the creation of styles, the post-Fordist city is wagering on the role of imagination and symbols. Creative events constitute the nodal points of networks of actors and cities seeking to make a name for themselves.</p></div> <div xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><head>Résumé</head><p>La notion de renouvellement urbain signe la fin des utopies modernes et renoue avec la pensée réformiste de réparation d'une Cité fracturée. Espace de consommation et d'engendrement de styles, la ville post-fordiste fait le pari de l'imaginaire et du symbole. Les événements créatifs forment les points nodaux de réseaux d'acteurs et de villes en quête de renom.</p></div>
