Abstract
Notes on some Macrostemum Kolenati, 1859, from the Malagasy eastern coast (Trichoptera, Hydropsychidae). Macrostemum pangalanorum Gibon n. sp and M. estebani Gibon n. sp. are described from the eastern coastal regions of Madagascar. Macrostemum estebani is compared to M. madagascariense (Ulmer, 1905), a very similar species. Schematic distribution maps and ecological indications on these three species, as well as M. marabe Gibon et Andriambelo, 2001, M. obscurum (Banks, 1920) and M. tsilo Andriambelo et Gibon, 2001, are provided and briefly commented.
