Les PME agroalimentaires sont confrontées à la diffusion des normes ISO 9000. Ces normes sont susceptibles de remettre en cause les principales spécificités des PME. L’objectif de ce papier est d’apprécier l’impact stratégique et organisationnel des normes ISO 9000. Nous avons conduit une enquête auprès de dirigeants de PME agroalimentaires Les résultats montrent que les entreprises engagées dans un processus de certification se différencient des autres PME par la nature de leur structure et par leur orientation entrepreneuriale. Food-processing SMEs are confronted with the diffusion of the ISO 9000 standards. These standards are likely to call into question principal specificities of SMEs. The aim of this paper is to appraise the strategic and organisational impact of ISO 9000 standards. We questioned a sample of managers in the food processing industry. The results show that the structure and the entrepreneurial orientation of the firms engaged in a process of certification are different from other SMEs.
