Résumé
This publication proposes to analyze the scientific and cultural mediations implemented by the Museu da Vida and its actions during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research adopts the sociocultural perspective of Information Science and Social Sciences and Health as its theoretical and methodological framework. The methods used are qualitative and exploratory, based on documentary research and observations in the field, carried out between 2019 and 2023. The authors present the Museum of Life of Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, located in Rio de Janeiro, reflecting on its practices and approaches. It emerges that institutional processes are permeated by its mission to promote public dialog on science, technology, and health and their respective historical processes while also contributing to better living conditions, autonomy, and the exercise of citizenship rights.
