Résumé

ABSTRACT Recent literature has suggested new catalytic applications in which ferrierite is showing an original shape selectivity, beyond its classical achievements in olefin isomerization. In this review, the proposed methods for modifying size and porosity of the zeolite are presented and discussed, considering the specificity of the ferrierite structure and synthesis. The modification procedures examined cover anisotropic size control, delamination, demetallation, and recrystallization. The results are related to the effectiveness of the methods for specific reaction mechanisms, implying active sites inside the microporosity, at the pore mouth, or on other external surfaces.
