Abstract
Prisoners representations of harm reduction measures. The case of injection kits and condomsBased on the ANRS-Coquelicot-Prisons quantitative survey, this article questions prisoners representations of the provision of injection kits and the accessibility of condoms in prison. Injection kits are not available in French prisons and their implementation crystallizes the debates. As for condoms, their accessibility remains variable from one prison to another. In order to find out the opinions of prisoners with regard to these harm reduction measures, a typology was constructed from open-ended responses, which highlights the differences of opinion within the groups and their characteristics. These results lead us to rethink the way in which the opinions of those concerned can be combined to improve these measures.
