Abstract
This article focuses on alternative remedies for people with AIDS and summarizes the lectures and interventions on this subject at the VIIIth International AIDS Conference held in Amsterdam in 1992.For the first time, the conference investigated the use of therapies other thanbiomedical. Even in developed countries, a significant proportion of HIV-positive people resort to alternative, parallel or traditional treatments. But the evaluation of their effects, subjective or objective, still lacks rigor.
