Résumé
Can the concepts of military strategy be legitimately transferred to the strategic management of the firm? To what extent do the results vary as a function of the way military concepts are used (ontological, metaphorical, analogical)? The author presents two lines of response: an analysis of the way in which military concepts have been used in management literature overtime and a case study of the transfer of a military principle (force concentration) to management (competitive battle).
