Abstract
This paper presents a study on teaching swimming skills in elementary. We analyze the activity of a teacher and a lifeguard and describe in detail how they implement and regulate learning situations. This study relative to two individuals with different professional background and experience adopts the course-of-action method. Results reveal that in the same intervention context, the adaptive activity of each actor is singular. The teacher is faced to unforeseen events and reacts in situation; the lifeguard anticipates difficulties and uses a set of routines in order to attain more comfortably learning objectives.
