Combretum paniculatum Vent. and Nymphaea lotus Linn. are two plants from ivorian pharmacopoeia, used in traditional therapy to treat many diseases. Analysis using GC-MS and LC-MS said plants, helped to highlight their phenolic constituents. 10 phenolic compounds were identified in C. paniculatum among which 1 phenol acid (gallic acid); 4 ellagic tannins (casuarictin, HHDP-glucose, glucose- trigalloylHHDP, chebulinic acid); 2 condensed tannins (procyanidin dimer and trimer) and 3 flavonoids (catechin, myricetin, quercetin-hexoside). As regards N. lotus, 14 phenolic compounds have been identified, namely 1 phenol acid (gallic acid); 3 ellagic tannins (galloylHHDP glucose-, tri-and tetragalloyl-glucose) ; 1 condensed tannin (epigallocatechin-epicatechin-epicatechin) and 9 flavonoids (kaempferol-dihexoside, myricetin-3-rhamnoside, kaempferol-3-coumaroylglucoside, quercetin-dihexoside, quercitrin, kaempferol-rhamnoside, laricitrin-rhamnoside, isorhamnetin-rhamnoside and luteolin-rhamnoside).
