Launched as a matter of urgency in the face of social protest, will the Great Debate live up to its democratic promises? Reflecting on the failure of recent participatory experiments in working-class neighborhoods, members of the Appuii collective call for an end to the logic of instrumentalization and denial of residents' participation.
