Advances from diagnostic biomarkers of neurodegenerative disorders changed in-depth the understanding of the natural history of these chronic diseases, in which the brain lesions progress insidiously until the occurrence of clinical symptoms from 15 to 20 years later. Clinical diagnosis is based on in vivo pathophysiological features and brain lesions mapping related to the potential prognosis of cognitive decline. These biomarkers have been developed in accordance with the anti-amyloid and anti-tau targeted-drugs. After their effective validation, these biomarkers could be used as tool of selection of subjects at-risk to develop AD or neurodegenerative disorders in order to propose innovative preventive and personalized strategies. Used with precision and in relation with the clinical question, these tools were very relevant for diagnosis and prognosis aiming to offer the best care practise to patients and their caregivers. Their cost and accessibility need to be discussed with the objective to guarantee the equity of access to healthcare and to innovative research protocols for patients avid to benefit from such researches.
