Abstract
It often seems that the fields of ergonomics and work psychodynamics present characteristics that are so extremely distinct that they prevent the possibility of building cooperative relationships between these disciplines, particularly in professional practice. However, when their evolution is analysed in other socio-cultural contexts, facts seem to contradict this perception. The aim of this article is to present the historical development and current situation of the relationships built between ergonomics and work psychodynamics in Argentina. The cooperation in this country between these disciplines, which seem to share some models and concepts, has allowed them to improve each other in understanding the relationship between health and work. Finally, this article also highlights some of the significant experiences of ergonomics and work psychodynamics practitioners in the last few years.
