Résumé
The development of small, low-power sensors for the measurement of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide gas in sea water is discussed. A prototype is based upon the fluorescence of a combination of dyes encapsulated within a gas permeable silicone membrane at the tip of a single optical fiber.
