Résumé
This research looks at the question of stability and the contesting of market leadership. By taking a socio-economic approach and relying on an in-depth study of the French tuna industry, the authors show that an enterprise that successfully contest the market leader's position does so by questioning the competitive norms in the sector. They also show that a leader in a given sector loses its leadership when it cannot ensure that the current norms of behavior are respected.
