Un patient de 63 ans transplanté rénal a présenté une cryptococcose méningée et cutanée. L’examen mycologique de la biopsie cutanée a retrouvé Cryptococcus neoformans mais aussi un phaeohyphomycète, Alternaria alternata. Cette co-infection rare a pu être traitée par chirurgie et un traitement antifongique adapté.
A 63-year-old kidney transplant patient presented a meningeal and cutaneous cryptococcosis. Mycological examination of the skin biopsy revealed Cryptococcus neoformans as well as a phaeohyphomycete, Alternaria alternata. This rare co-infection was successfully treated with surgery and appropriate antifungal treatment.
