Abstract

Macroporous catalyst was obtained by dispersing nanosized gold in the fibrils of the chitosan matrix, followed by CO2 supercritical drying of the resulting hybrid material. The accessible gold nanoparticles are highly active for carbon–carbon cross coupling reactions.
