Cell Biochemistry & Function has turned a corner in the last couple of years, with the will to enhance the visibility and speed up the availability of your work, while maintaining the highest peer‐reviewing standards. We have chosen to seriously consider sound science even of a descriptive and/or confirmatory nature, and to avoid the pitfall of becoming overly stringent to artificially raise the impact factor. By ignoring the subjective assessments of the “novelty” and “impact”, we are aiming to make Cell Biochemistry & Function an author‐friendly journal in which to publish your work in the most serene manner. With this goal in mind, we have been inspired by the Nature Notes and Genetics Notes format from other journals, and we are now introducing the novel “Cell Bio Notes” format at Cell Biochemistry & Function to share your latest research and opinions with your community [...].
