Abstract
'Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum' (Lso) is the phloem bacterium responsible for the "Zebra Chip"disease in the USA. In France, it was reported for the first time in 2012 on seed carrots. The CaLisoproject validated a Lso detection method and thus made the health quality of carrot seeds reliable andguaranteed the same reliability for potato plants. In France, our large-scale surveys show that the LsoDand LsoE haplotypes are present in the majority of Apiaceae production areas, and that Bactericeratrigonica is the main psyllid species present on these crops. This psyllid is probably the main vector ofLso in France. In addition, Lso was not detected on potatoes, especially those produced near Apiaceaecrops, which underlines the very low risk of Lso transmission from carrots to potatoes. The studies carried out improved our knowledge of this pathosystem. Lso does not seem to be emerging on Apiaceae inFrance. The major threat for Solanaceae would probably be an introduction of the potato psyllid, B.cockerelli, in Europe.
