Abstract
Abstract We report the synthesis and structures of two base‐free alkoxide dysprosium(III) complexes of formula [Dy(L 1 ) 2 ( μ ‐ η 6 : η 1 ‐Ph) 2 BPh 2 ] ⋅ CH 2 Cl 2 ( 1 ) and [Dy(L 2 ) 2 ( μ ‐ η 6 : η 1 ‐Ph) 2 BPh 2 ] ⋅ 3(C 7 H 8 ) ( 2 ) featuring a tetraphenylborate binding (L 1 =2,6‐dibenzhydryl‐4‐( tert ‐butyl)phenolate, L 2 =tri(naphtalen‐1‐yl)methanolate). Investigations of the magnetic properties for 1 in line with theoretical calculations reveal the occurrence of a field‐induced slow relaxation of the magnetization.
