Of the average 470 new cases of acute leukemia (AL) registered annually in France among children aged <15 years,1 |[sim]|90 are cases of acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML). Down|[rsquo]|s syndrome and other inheritable predisposing diseases explain only a small proportion of AML.
