Abstract
After a brief presentation of the different approaches to the indicative verb tenses in French, the paper focuses on the relationship between two current aspectual-temporal theoretical frameworks, one developed by Laurent Gosselin and the other by myself. The common foundations of the two approaches and their points of agreement are highlighted. Two points of divergence are then explained: the ramification of the conditional tense, and the aspect of the past participle.
