Résumé
Organized by Philippe Bonnal and Sérgio Pereira Leite, the book “Comparative Analysis of Public Policies: a changing agenda” is a collection of articles written by Brazilian and French researchers. The set of texts makes a comparative analysis of the process of elaborating public policies aimed at agriculture and the rural environment in Brazil, France and other European countries. THE This work intends to emphasize the importance of taking into account the peculiarities of agriculture and rural areas in each country in the formulation of public policies, thus analyzing their adequacy and effectiveness. The book has an introductory, positioning chapter and ten thematic chapters, written by economists, sociologists and political scientists. The editors recall in the introduction that, traditionally, the analysis of public policies by Political Science is not exactly sectorial, which explains the few works devoted to agriculture in this area. At the same time, agriculture is an activity sector marked by specificities that justify a renewal ofconcepts and methods for the analysis of their policies.
