Septoria ( Phaeosphaeria) nodorum Berk

The absolute configuration of N-methoxyseptorinol 3, a substance isolated from the fungus Septoria ( Phaeosphaeria) nodorum has been determined. The secondary OH group is (-)-( R) according to Horeau's method. (The second asymmetric centre due to the isoleucyl residue was previously determined to be (+)-( S) through a correlation with (+)-septorine.)
