Abstract

Insectanew species early oligocene céreste paleolake France : Insecta, new species, early oligocene, céreste paleolake, France
The leptogastrine Leptogaster? cerestensis sp. nov., new fossil representative of this genus, is described from the Lower Oligocene of Céreste (Southern France). This fossil shows some characters of the extant genus Mesoleptogaster but differs from it in its relatively short hind legs, a putative plesiomorphic character state, rendering its attribution to this genus uncertain.
