Abstract
The article questions the construction and perceptions related to the lighting project « Ruta de los Rios de Luz » developed in the Spanish city of Valladolid. Adopting a performative approach to the visual experience, the article searches beyond the traditional vision of a relationship between visual experience and nightscape lighting mainly designed for a quality of seduction. Instead, superposition of different research methodologies helps to reveal a more complex visual experience of this lightscape, varied and multifaceted. This approach provides new perspectives on the performative and relational qualities of everyday engagement with urban aesthetics.
