Physical inactivity is the main health scourge of our society. The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of a questionnaire on physical activity in sedentary patients, by calculating the percentage of patients reaching the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) concerning physical activity, as part of their usual 1-month follow-up visit. Methods: monocentric, prospective and descriptive observational study assessed by way of a questionnaire, on a cohort of 150 patients aged between 18 to 74 years old who were physically inactive and come to see their physician in a consecutive manner. We assessed the percentage of patients who reached the figure of the WHO guideline for physical activity (IPAQ score ≥ 2 *) at their 1-month follow-up visit. (* International Physical Activity Questionnaire: score ≥ 600 METs min-week, 30 minutes per day of moderate to high intensity activity over at least five days of the week). Results: from april 3 to may 31, 2018, 150 inactive patients were included in the study. Out of the 135 patients reviewed and analyzed at one the month of follow-up visit, 53 patients (39.26%) had increased their physical activity in excess of the recommended threshold [95% Confidence Interval: 0.31 and 0.47].Conclusion: this data suggests that the act of administering the questionnaire allows for the promotion of physical activity on patients originally inactive, all of which is evidenced by an increase in their physical activity, as of the one month follow-up visit.
