In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic shook the world in ways no one could have imagined. As a result, many protective measures were put in place to guarantee the safety of the population. The arrival of the various vaccines against COVID-19 was both a technological feat and a life-saving scientific revolution, saving thousands of lives. Following these vaccinations, many women experienced menstrual disorders. However, they have found it extremely difficult to have their concerns listened to, and to get health professionals to take their adverse effects into account. In this manuscript, we will study the link between COVID-19 vaccination and menstrual disorders. We will explain which symptoms are mainly found in these patients, as well as the various hypotheses put forward. Indeed, these menstrual disorders can be explained by both central and local mechanisms. We will also explain how these menstrual disorders have been managed by healthcare professionals, and how we can improve the reporting and management of these adverse events. At this stage, menstrual disorders would appear to be no more than adverse effects following vaccination, in the same way as fever or muscle pain. However, they must be taken into account, explained and prevented, and patients feelings must not be minimized, so that they can receive optimum care.
