Résumé
This descriptive quantitative study aims to take stock of the knowledge of general medicine interns in Languedoc Roussillon on the management of syphilis. Our first objective is to evaluate the interns' knowledge, and our secondary objective is to note whether there are differences in knowledge depending on the intern's background. The data was collected by GoogleForm questionnaire, sent by email to students (95 responses, or 18% participation). The first part concerns the characteristics of the population and their student career, and the second part evaluates knowledge using a points scale. The results of this study show that interns have good theoretical knowledge regarding care. On the other hand, they present more difficulties regarding monitoring. As for the intern's journey, we observe better knowledge among interns who encountered the illness during their internship, and among those who feel capable of taking care of it. These differences can be explained by the lack of precise information on the monitoring parameters of this disease in official repositories. Interns could benefit from internships at CeGIDD, or training in the use of digital tools thanks to which it is easy and quick to find monitoring protocols for various pathologies. This study shows that practical training, in addition to theoretical training, is essential to the intern's career.
