Résumé
The aim of this study is to collect normative data from healthy subjects in order to begin the calibration of a non-verbal executive function assessment tool for patients with aphasia. This assessment tool was the subject of a preliminary study (Duthilleul, 2020), which sought to test the protocol and identify possible executive dysfunction in subjects with aphasia. Materials and methods: 80 control subjects, aged 60 to 80 years with 3 different levels of study, were recruited to pass the protocol. We compared their performance, in terms of scores and time, to see whether age and educational attainment might have an effect on them. Results: the statistical analysis shows some heterogeneity in the effects of age and level of education on the performance of subjects with this tool. Some tests have a significant effect or statistical trend of age or level of education, in terms of scores or time, but these results are not systematic across assignments. Calibration tables were constructed taking into account, for each test, age and level of education for the sake of unity. Conclusion: our study therefore partially supports the relevance of this calibration. Further research is needed to confirm the results obtained, in particular by increasing the size of the sample studied and by making some modifications to the protocol. Similarly, work on the metrological qualities of the test is still necessary in order to consider the future practical use of the tool and thus determine its relevance.
