In the demanding and competitive pharmaceutical industry, digital transformation presents unique challenges. Essential to delivering treatments to patients, this field must navigate rigorous manufacturing processes, intense competitive pressure and extremely high-quality standards. This thesis examines manufacturers' initiatives to integrate digital transformation into drug production sites, with a focus on optimizing industrial performance. The text highlights the strict regulations to which the industry is subject and explores how these regulations evolve with the implementation of digital technologies. It underlines the importance of digital transformation for improving industrial performance, citing examples of strategies used by groups such as Sanofi. The management and monitoring of key performance indicators using digital tools is also discussed, as are the success factors of a successful digital transformation. Finally, the thesis offers recommendations for the future of digital in the pharmaceutical industry, considering the next steps and possible evolutions of this transformation.
